I am NOT necroposting since the point of this thread has yet to happen. But how about we get the ball rolling on this again? I've been running standards only on my last few games and i'd love to see what happens to the opfor when they can no longer spray at me every chance they get.

We are just waiting on the field to dry up a bit.  Savage yards get pretty bad after it rain...the ground is horrible slippery and would be dangerous to play on right now.  Ill post up in advance to let you guys now...hopefully soon

I actually ran 30 rounders at the last Hill game, it wasn't that bad and you had to be sure you could mag change in a hurry. I think it will be fun when everyone else is doing the same.

Sorry if this has been said I don't wanna read the last five pages, but an idea for the hi-cap only guys would be to split them and have them act as the saw in each element. That makes it more feesable to run a game like this as a test at any given field, any given day without excluding hi cap lovers

If they wana run like a SAW they should get a SAW. main reason i got my 249 is for Ord when they have the semi-only game, unless you have a SAW i think this would be the same concept. but what there doing is getting rid of the hicap problem all together. Its easy to just hold down a trigger to keep someone in cover.

When we do this game there will be NO hicaps allowed.  We are doing it so it feel a little more realistic, it wil make those guys that hold down the trigger with hicaps and boxmags to acually think and make their shots count.  We are not going to limit the fire to semi only, you can use full auto if you want but imagine how fast you would run out of 300 rounds...its going to change the gameplay.  We dont want to exclude anyone but if you really want to try this type of game out then you probably aleady have mids and lows....and if you dont then you will have to buy or borrow some if you want to play.

I don't carry any 30 round mqgs but I do have mid caps. I personally hate high caps. I only use them on a new gun especially if its the only mag I have. I recently bought a box of mid caps for my m4 and m16. My m16 is going to be my DMR. Going to use the 50 round mids I just recently got. As a DM/Sniper I want to limit my shots which will force me to make my shots count. Althouht I don't carry any 30 round mags the concept is nice because I don't have to worry about hiding from full auto fire all the time. Plus it would help you improve as you would go for more precise shots rather than spray and pray. Going to 30 round mag would take some time for me to transition over to but eventually ill get there.

Good news, we got the ok to do the 30 round game on April 11th!  I will post up rules and event times in the savage yard section by the end of the week...oh and we are looking at limiting it to only 40 people.

Only 4 people so far?! There was so much intrest and now theres no intrest....im super excited for it!
