You'll be not popular if you get baking powder or flour on someone's gucci gear, lol.
Seems like a neat idea, but practically speaking it's not really worth the money.

Experience with this. TacOps had a few and I wanted to see how they perform. I belies it was John zaid and myself and it was the most pathetic excuse for a mine I've ever seen. It barely got the power on johns boots/shoes. We used green gas, and cO2 (I think we used co2) but it was the saddest thing I've seen..

not only that i think it'll be kinda hard for some1 to step on it as if your playing at a big field it'll be a 1 out of 500 that some one would step on it since there is only one, and the chances of losing it if you put it some where is high unless it is marked XD

Got an alternative to the RAP4 and it can use bb's...
Got an idea from a dude on Youtube, and took it one step further by adding the spring + plate. His design had the 40mm shell falling on the primer.
So pretty much, you get a can and cut the top off. get a piece of foam or something, cut it to fit the radius of the can, then stick the "plate" (red line) in with a spring underneath it. A hole is drilled through both sides of the can so that a rod with a d-ring/rounded end (blue line) can be stuck through, keeping the "plate" place. String is also attached to this d-ring for the trip wire mechanism.
Two more holes are drilled for smaller support rods (green line), on which the 40mm will sit upon. a nub is added to the triggering mechanism on the 40mm.
When the tripwire is pulled by OPFOR (or remote detnoated by yanking it), the blue rod comes out, allowing the spring to push the "plate" onto the extended firing mechanism of the 40 shell. Big boom. The can can be buried, taped to trees, etc. Materials shouldn't cost more than the shells (150$ for a pack of 5-6? vs. 1 Claymore for 145$ or 2 RAP4 mines for 130$...) and cans, you can be creative with the other materials.
Not exactly cheap if lost, but cheaper than the alternatives...

I've seen these things in person and they're pathetic. I'd rather spend the $30 or $40 bucks on something that is effective.

wouldnt u only need 1 metal ring as if you pull the 1 with the string then the 2nd metal ring would still be there? so if pulling the only 1 with the string that would hold the 40mm bb thingy and thus just dropping that sucker in? XD
